Nakopiirin Rajoilla / Kiila
Kiila - Nakopiirin Rajoilla
Nakopiirin Rajoilla
SOLD OUT!! Official Release Date 29/2/16. Ltd edition (250) LP on 180gm vinyl with pro-printed lyric/ photo insert Kiila's Näköpiirin rajoilla was imagined, narrated, glued and sewed together in many different ways between the years 2010 and 2015. It has been worked upon together and alone, with smaller and bigger groups of people, in storages, homes and workrooms, with a pen and a
recorder, analogically and digitally, persistently and in short sprints. Kiila is a spawning pond where the players dive whenever they can, and wherefrom thin and dense slices of the universe grow, pulsating and expanding versions of what surrounds us and what we

Näköpiiri rajoilla is songs, considered forms, coincidences and fumblings of a multi-headed being that from time to time grow together; it is rhythms, melodies, words, repetition, sketches of slowly opening transformations and inevitable celebrations of one tone. At times it
tightens and sometimes it is indeterminate and placid, even pious. Music melts into sound and sound into music. Different cultures' traditions, minimalism, pieces of sound art, drone and songwriting can be heard together, one upon the other and one after the other.

Kiila's new lp is dedicated to the memory of Johannes Salminen, a Finnish essayist and dissident. Once, a long time ago, reading his texts made me deeply and diversely realise how enormous possibilities can be found in the constant motion of people and cultures, and how it will never stop before man ceases to exist.
